The name Bunjii (Bun-gee)
implies adrenaline rush, thrill seeker, and risk taker. After listening
to their compelling and edgy CD titled "The Jump Off", it
is clear why they chose such a name to represent their band.
The BUNJII front men consist of a trio, Big Yount (lead vocalist/ producer)
Joey Majors (lyricist)and Mercury (producer and lyricist). Hailing from
Willingboro, NJ these three friends have come together in harmony to
form a new sound that embodies hip-hop and rock music. Their powerful
rock influenced beats coupled with undeniably hard-hitting rap lyrics
result in musical perfection. This energetic hip-hop rock band brings
a fresh new musical perspective that is sorely needed in today's climate.
Their new CD comes clean with virtually no samples, which gives the
listener a creative and unique sound. It is evident that this group
has their fingers on the pulse on many different genres of music. You'll
hear a hypnotic mixture of electronic keyboards, drum machines, and
live instruments.
Philly's own 100.3 the beats DJ Jay Ski joined the band early 2004 as
well as band members Tre' (Drummer), AJ (Bass Guitar), Slim Jinkens
(Electric Guitar) and Mike (Keys) to form that live sound that gives
Bunjii it's leading edge when it comes to their live performance. It's
almost spiritual how they strike an unquestionable balance with each
other.
Much like the sport of bun-gee jumping, this group is risky and sure
to satisfy the appetite of any adrenaline junky. They promise to carve
their own path in the music industry. Bunjii is destined to take hip-hop
and rock music to the next level.
Live Bunjii!
